Environments

HeraldEX provides two main environments to help you integrate, test and launch with confidence. They are Sandbox and Production.

Each serves a distinct purpose in your development and go-live journey.

Sandbox Environment

The sandbox environment is your dedicated space for development and testing. It is designed to help you mock real-world scenarios, build your workflows and validate your integration. This can be done without touching live data or triggering any actual transactions.

You can use the Sandbox to:

  1. Test API endpoints and flows safely.
  2. Build and revise your wallet, off-ramp or payment features.
  3. Make sure your system is capable of handling mistakes and critical situations.

Get started by requesting Sandbox access and user setup from your Customer Success Manager (CSM). We will provide you with regular updates on all technical, legal and compliance requirements that are pertinent to your use case.

Production Environment

The production environment can be used after you are prepared to go live. This is where your application connects to the live HeraldEX infrastructure, handling real users, funds and data.

Before switching to production, make sure to complete the following:

  1. Finish onboarding steps including KYC/KYB and compliance checks.
  2. Sign all required agreements.
  3. Successfully test your flows in sandbox.
  4. Implement production-grade security protocols like IP whitelisting.
